How We Choose Products

Our research process
- We start with what readers need. Each guide answers a specific question, such as which product suits a particular situation, and we judge products against that need.
- We read the details. We check product labels, ingredient or spec lists and manufacturer information for every product we mention.
- We check public guidance. Where safety or proper use matters, we look at guidance from public health bodies and recognised experts.
- We look at owner experience. We read what owners report over time, both the good and the bad, and note common problems.
- We compare, then choose. Products are picked for the situations they suit best, and we explain who should skip each one.
What we do not claim
We do not test products ourselves, and we never pretend that we have. We do not publish prices or star ratings, because they change often; please check the current details on the retailer page before you buy.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help research and draft our guides. A person reviews every guide before it is published, and our rules forbid invented facts, fake testing claims and made-up statistics.
